Special needs
Full access to all teaching
areas and all aspects of the curriculum are equally available to all
pupils.
We do detect a number of pupils as having difficulties after they come to Horler's. Some children come to us with known
problems already diagnosed. These children have had problems of hearing,
language development, sight, speech, co-ordination, specific learning
difficulties, genetic and congenital disorders.
Working closely with the children as we do,
early detection of possible special needs is facilitated. Our special needs
policy helps us to monitor progress and plan appropriate remedial programmes
for them. Where special educational needs are detected, extra tuition with a
qualified teacher or support within the classroom can be provided. |
